Comfort, dignity and quality of life

Both hospice and palliative care focus on comfort measures to ease pain and suffering, symptom relief and emotional support for patients with serious and terminal illnesses, but they differ in timing, goals and eligibility.

Hospice avoids aggressive treatments and emphasizes comfort, dignity and quality of life at the end of life.
